ABOUT THE STORY
In the film adapted from Nazım Hikmet's poem “The Epic of Sheikh Bedrettin, Son of the Judge of Simavne,” Nazım Hikmet, suffering from insomnia in his prison cell in 1936, imagines the events that befell a group of rebels who rose up against authority in 1416, narrated in a lyrical style.
